NKURENKURU, May 21–Ruguru Investments yesterday donated funds worth five thousand Namibian Dollar (N$ 5000-00) to the family members of the 10 people who lost their lives in a horrific accident that shocked the Region on 23 April this year at Simanya Village,18 km west of Nkurenkuru town in Kavango West region.
The chairperson of Ruguru Investments, Mr. Thomas Ngoma, handed the funds in form of a cheque to Hon. Governor, Sirrka Ausiku, the Governor of Kavango West Region. Mr Ngoma said, “The tragic accident that robbed us of ten (10) youth is a loss not only to the families but the entire region and the nation at large.”
” We have lost vibrant future leaders. We therefore give this amount to Kavango West Regional leadership to assist where necessary.” Mr Ngoma further said, “Ruguru Investments could give more than what they gave, unfortunately, the given quotas were limited.”
Receiving the funds on behalf of Kavango West Regional leaders, Hon. Sirrka Ausiku, the Governor of Kavango West Region, thanked Ruguru for their prompt action. The governor is still calling out to all business people and individuals to donate the little they have to the bereaved families. As a point of information, the Governor explained that “The process to identify the remains will take time and we request the families and the nation to wait until all procedures are completed.”
