KATIMA MULILO, 30 MAR – The Khomas netball team thrashed Kavango West 32-12 in the second game played at The Namibian Newspaper Cup underway in Katima Mulilo.
Khomas showed their prowess in the first two quarters with quick passes and movements, taking every opportunity that came their way.
Kavango West belatedly came to the party in the last quarter of the match, where they managed to capitalise on their chances to score a couple of goals, but Khomas was way ahead.
Khomas’ Uli Katjatenja emerged as player of the match, taking home a trophy and N.dollars 250.
Talking to Nampa after the game, Katjatenja said she did not expect the award, but was confident of her team’s victory.
“I did not expect this, but we knew we were going to win the game,” she said.
