NAIROBI, Aug. 19– Kenyan authorities confirmed that seven people, including six tourists and one pilot, were killed on Wednesday when a helicopter crashed on Mt. Ololokwe in Samburu County, leaving no survivors.
Police said that seven people were killed after an Eurocopter EC130 B4 (registration 5Y-GYM) crashed at Mt. Ololokwe in Samburu County at approximately 9:13 a.m. local time.
“All passengers perished as a result of the crash,” the police said.
The police reported that the light aircraft, operated by charter firm Lady Lori, was en route from Soyian in Laikipia to the Loisaba Conservancy in central Kenya when it crashed.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Local aviation authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. (Namibia Daily News / Xinhua)
