12 reasons to watch The Bachelor SA this week
WINDHOEK, MARCH 9 – The Bachelor South Africa has quickly become a favourite topic at the water cooler. While the South African “Bachelor Nation” has gathered in droves to watch the hot reality dating show on M-Net on Thursday nights at 19:00 or on DStv Now or Catch-Up, an additional 300 000+ people viewed the first episode on YouTube!
This week, South Africa’s most eligible man, Lee Thompson, has 12 roses to hand out, which means it will be the end of the love journey for two of his potential brides-to-be. Here are a dozen more reasons why you shouldn’t miss your date with The Bachelor this week.
• It’s time for the epic Bachelor photo shoot.
Fans of the worldwide Bachelor franchise will know that the show’s gorgeous Prince Charming sometimes invites the ladies on a dress-up-themed photo shoot to get to know them a little better. These photo shoots have become renowned for creating conflict – and awkward moments! Remember how “villain” Corinne caused a stir when she removed her bikini top in the US edition with Bachelor Nick Viall? Well, who knows what the local contestants will come up with!
• Will Jackie finally go on a date?
Lovely Portuguese pre-school teacher Jacqueline has already shed a tear because hes hasn’t had a date with Lee yet. Will he pick her, or is it another dateless week for Jax?
• Secrets and spies.
The television promo revealed that there’s some conspiracy around a journal. So, someone apparently had a journal that mysteriously disappeared. Who took it? And more intriguing, why is the person who penned her thoughts so worried?
• Who will nab the one-on-one date?
Everybody wants some alone time with Lee. So far, only blonde bombshell Kelly-Tiegan, free-spirited Kim and stunning, opinionated lawyer Edith have had the honour. They all went on romantic outdoor dates. What has Lee planned for this week’s lucky lady? And who will he choose?
• The individual rose. A one-on-one date may lead to a rose for a lady on the spot, assuring her of another week in the mansion. But there are no guarantees for receiving this token of affection.
• Another kiss.
Lee has not been shy about locking lips with the ladies. Yes, there is a kiss this week – an interesting one!
• When will the nails come out?
It can’t be easy being part of a bevy of beauties vying for the attention of the same man, but this time host Jason Greer gets involved.
• Glitzy and the glitch.
The garments at the cocktail party are always to die for. Viewers are waiting for that first wardrobe malfunction, or “what was she thinking?”
• Who will confront Lee?
Someone has had enough of all the games and decides it’s time to tell it as it is. Enough said!
• Drama at the rose ceremony.
Girls fainted, others left with scathing parting words. Brace yourself for something completely unexpected!
• Empty hands.
Who will be going home without a rose?
• …. and Bachelor Lee, of course!
There are those who tune in for one reason only… to admire Bachelor Lee’s every move!
