KIEV, Sept. 25– At least five people were killed and 31 others injured in Russian strikes on the Ukrainian capital on Friday, Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.
One of the strikes hit an office building in the Solomianskyi district, killing four people and injuring seven others, Klitschko said in a post on Telegram, adding that the attack also sparked a fire in the nearby parking lot.
A 14-year-old boy was killed in other strikes on the capital. The attacks damaged two multi-story apartment buildings, a healthcare facility, as well as non-residential facilities, Klitschko said.
In the surrounding Kiev region, at least 11 civilian facilities were damaged in the strikes on Friday, regional governor Tymur Tkachenko said. No casualties were reported in the region. (Namibia Daily News / Xinhua)
