REHOBOTH, 20 MAY – Log leaders Outjo Football Academy collected four points in the Kunene Second Division Football League rounds 4 and 5 matches played over the weekend.
On Saturday, Outjo Football Academy defeated Young Eagles 3-2 in a match played at Ombika Stadium near Okaukuejo and on Sunday, played to a goalless draw against Etosha United at the same venue.
Team manager of Outjo Football Academy, Hennie Kavendjii on Sunday said they are well on track to fight for the title.
“We are well on track to fight for the title. Like I said last week, we aim to collect maximum points, if not, then four points each weekend will work,” he said.
In other matches played on Saturday, Etosha United lost 1-0 at home to Green Dangers, while Black Africa Warriors annihilated Robber Chanties 5-0 in Outjo.
Revengers finally got three points for the first time after they defeated PUBS 3-0 in Kamanjab, while Kunene Namibian Police (NamPol) Football Club defeated Bethlehem Boys 3-0 in Opuwo.
Sixty Eleven did not make use of their home advantage as they narrowly lost 2-1 against Gariseb Orlando Pirates in Outjo.
On Sunday in Round 5, Young Eagles hammered Green Dangers 4-1 at Ombika.
In Outjo, Black Africa Warriors lost 1-0 against Gariseb Orlando Pirates, while Sixty Eleven made sure of their three points after beating Robber Chanties 3-1 at the Etoshapoort Stadium.
Meanwhile, PUBS defeated Kunene NamPol 1-0 at Opuwo.
