WINDHOEK, 13 MAY – The Khomas women’s football team won the 2018 National Youth Games by beating Hardap 4-0 in the final at the Independence Stadium on Saturday.
Khomas dominated the match from the word go, creating several half chances but failing to utilise them.
They opened the scoring midway through the first half before adding one more goal to take a 2-0 half-time lead.
Second half began in a similar way, with Khomas looking to finish off the match.
Hardap tried to get into the game but Khomas continued their dominance and scored two more goals to see off the match as a contest.
Ndira Jacobs from Khomas was voted Woman of the Match, while Batista Kasume, also from Khomas, was voted Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
Yvonne Cooper from Hardap was named Player of the Tournament.
