WINDHOEK, Oct. 5 — Bank Windhoek, a dedicated supporter of arts and culture in Namibia, has made a generous contribution of N$650,000 towards the upcoming Windhoek Jazz Festival. The highly anticipated festival is set to make a triumphant return to the Windhoek stage on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Vegkop Stadium, situated at Windhoek High School.

Bank Windhoek is honoured to collaborate with the City of Windhoek in hosting this cultural extravaganza.
Following a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Windhoek Jazz Festival has emerged as one of Namibia’s most highly anticipated events, drawing attention from the local, national, and international music scenes. Harold Akwenye, spokesperson for the City of Windhoek, confirmed that preparations for the event are proceeding smoothly, with musicians dedicatedly rehearsing to deliver flawless performances. This year’s festival is poised to be exceptional, serving as a platform to showcase Namibia as a premier tourist destination and contributing to the local economy.
The festival’s headlining act will be the legendary South African-born singer-songwriter and guitarist, Jonathan Butler, currently residing in California, United States. A lineup of talented Namibian artists, including Suzy Eises, Erna Chimu, Esme Songbird, Bonganisoul, Na Jah, The Yesterday, and Savanna Afros, is prepared to captivate the audience with homegrown music.
Stringent security measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all attendees, and guests are encouraged to bring their camping chairs and blankets for seating. Attendees will be allowed to enter the venue with cooler boxes and ice exclusively, with food and beverages available for purchase at the venue.
Tickets for the Windhoek Jazz Festival can be purchased on Webtickets for N$300 or at the gates for N$350. The gates will be open from 16:00 until midnight, providing a night filled with melodious tunes and cultural celebrations.
