REHOBOTH, 22 JUN – The top of the table clash between log leaders Outjo Football Academy (OFA) and Kunene Namibian Police (NamPol) Football Club promises fireworks when the two teams meet in Round 13 of the Kunene Second Division.
They are scheduled to meet on Saturday at the Etoshapoort Stadium in Outjo at 15h00.
Coach of Kunene NamPol FC, Daniel Baisako assured Nampa on Thursday that his charges have a realistic chance of winning the match against OFA.
“We are currently second on the log and although I have respect for OFA’s coach, I promise that we will bring our A-game against them. We have targeted to win the league this season, not to write off any team in their quest, but we are on course of achieving that,” he elaborated.
Baisako said his team has something special in store for their opponents this coming Saturday.
“Our formation will catch them off guard as we have been working hard to implement it during matches. I can promise now that we are ready to fight till the very end on Saturday,” said the coach.
Coach of OFA, Hennie Kavendji when contacted on Thursday about his plans for the match, said his team is well prepared for the weekend games.
“We have the full complement of our players and with each match we target maximum points. Our game plan is to score an early goal as quick as possible, with our strikers on a great run.”
He said the team’s captain, Edrigu Gaeseb is also back after an injury and the defence is solid.
“We need to work hard this weekend as a team in order to get something positive out of it,” Kavendji continued.
OFA are on 30 points, six more than second-placed Kunene NamPol’s 24 points.
