OUTJO, Sept. 20 – A mother knows best, so upon noticing mysterious bruises on her child’s shoulders and neck, Annemarie Theron – a reservations and marketing manager at a lodge – began to suspect that someone was abusing her little bundle of joy.
And her nightmares were confirmed as she captured horrific footage of her babysitter, entrusted to care for the infant, doing all but care for the child in alarming scenes for any parent.
WARNING: This video contains scenes of a graphic, sensitive nature and viewer discretion is advised!
Nikolene Hoeses brazenly hurls the toddler face first into the cot, and picks her up on one leg in behaviour fit for an inanimate object such as a doll, a far cry from human treatment, let alone a nine-month old infant.
Adamant for answers, Theron utilised the internet to devastating effect and installed some spy software on her laptop, which then revealed 38 year old Nikolene Hoeses hurling Laila Theron, a nine-month old toddler into a cot, before brazenly picking her up by one foot, up-side down, seemingly unfazed by the infant’s screams.
Hoeses was denied bail when she appeared at Outjo Magistrate’s court on Monday, and she faces a litany of charges: attempted murder, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and ill-treatment of a minor.
Her case was postponed to October 2, 2017 to allow for further police investigations. – NDN Staffer
