SWAKOPMUND, 23 May 2022 – Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a driver was shot in Kuisebmund, Walvis Bay after he tried to stop the person who allegedly ran into the vehicle from behind at around midnight on Sunday.
According to the report provided by Police Inspector Ileni Shapumba, the suspect or suspects, allegedly bumped the victim’s car at Swael Street, Tutaleni, and drove away.
The victim then chased after the suspect’s vehicle and requested him to stop so they could report the accident to the Police.
In response, the suspect, who is not known to the victim, allegedly jumped out of his vehicle and shot the victim twice in the abdomen with a pistol, and drove away.
The victim was treated at the hospital in Walvis Bay and was discharged on Monday morning. His condition is stable.
The suspect has not yet been arrested and a case of attempted murder was filed. – Namibia Daily News
