Oshakati, Aug. 3 — Police in Ohangwena are investigating a case of robbery which took place on Tuesday, 02 August 2022 at about 14h30 at a house at Omafo, Helao Nafidi Town.
According to police, three unknown armed men held the victim at gun and knifepoint, fired shots and stabbed him in the left hip with a knife, causing him to sustain an open wound and then robbed him of N$120 000 and a cellphone valued at N$3 200.
Police said the victim withdrew N$120 000 from Standard Bank in Oshikango and went to First National Bank to exchange the money for South African rands before driving to his house at Omafo village to drop off some items.
As he was about to leave the house he was attacked by the three men. It is suspected that the three men had followed the victim from Oshikango.
No arrests have been made and nothing has been recovered but investigations into the case continue.
