Ashley Young renews contract with Man Utd
LONDON, FEB 11 — England international Ashley Young has signed a new deal with Manchester United for another year, announced the Premier League side on Monday.
The 33-year-old midfielder/defender had only a few months left on his existing deal, but will now stay at Old Trafford until the end of the 2019-2020 season under the new contract.
Moving from Aston Villa in 2011, Young has made 227 appearances for United as a key member of their squad, scoring 17 goals and winning a clutch of trophies including the Premier League and Europa League.
He has made 25 appearances this season, scoring once.
Last year, Young, who has been capped 39 times for the English team, helped England reach the semifinals of the World Cup. – XINHUA
