Suburbs sink United

WINDHOEK, 20 MAY  – United Rugby Club’s two-match winning streak came to an end on Saturday when a resilient Western Suburbs sank them 30-27 at their home in Olympia.
Round 8 of the Rugby Premier League saw two matches played on Saturday afternoon in Windhoek and Rehoboth.
Khomasdal outfit Suburbs, who went into the match fifth on the log are currently third after collecting a bonus point for the four tries they scored on the day against United.
They are now on 22 points, five points behind Wanderers who are second on the log with 17 points. Wanderers are behind log leaders UNAM who have 39 points from eight matches.
Wanderers was the only team that did not have a match over the weekend.
In Rehoboth Walvis Bay-based Kudus lost 12-7 to Rehoboth. The home team scored two tries while Kudus only ran in one try. Only one of the two tries from Rehoboth was converted.
Rehoboth are sixth on the log standing while Kudus moved a place down to fifth. They are levelled on 19 points with Rehoboth.
Reho Falcons who were thrashed 78-7 on Friday night by UNAM are bottom of the log with one point from eight matches played.
