WINDHOEK, SEPT 12 – Action returns during the MTC NFA Cup Aweh on Saturday, 25 September with the last eight clubs vying for the lucrative semifinals spots in the 2021 edition of the competition.
Last week saw the Round of 16 of the MTC NFA Cup Aweh and with the last eight decided and paired, the Oscar Norich Stadium in Tsumeb and the Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) Stadium in Windhoek will form the centre-stage of the clashes.
Each venue will host two matches starting at 14h00 and Oshakati-based Khuse FC will seek to continue their run in the competition against the established order when they battle Civics in the first match at Tsumeb, followed by an all Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL) clash between Tigers and Mighty Gunners at 16h00.
In the capital, Young Brazilians and Blue Waters will face off at 14h00 before another battle of the giants between Citizens and Young African.
MTC will sponsor the NFA N$4.5 Million annually for the FA Cup for the next three years.
The winning team of the tournament will walk away with N$500 000; runners-up N$250 000 while the third and fourth place receive N$150 000 and N$100 000 respectively. – www.nfa.org.na
