Now or never for Young Brazilians to gain promotion to NPL

REHOBOTH, 22 JUN – The Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) Inland Stream will conclude this coming weekend with Young Brazilians from Karasburg only needing four points to clinch the title from second-placed Windhoek United.
Young Brazilians are tied on 17 points with Windhoek United Football Club (FC) but with a superior goal difference. They will win if they collect four or more points this weekend against third-placed Ramblers FC with 11 points and fourth-placed Rebels with 9 points. Young Brazilians would then meet the winner of the SSFD Coastal Stream on a home and away basis in a play-off spot for a berth in the Namibia Premier League.
Windhoek United only have one game remaining against already relegated Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) and will need to win their game and hope Young Brazilians slip up against the two Windhoek teams to have any realistic chance of winning the title.
Other matches in the fixtures provided by acting league administrator of SSFD, Joshua Tovey ||Hoëbeb on Monday, will see fifth-placed Try Again with 9 points confront Rebels on Saturday at Keetmanshoop’s J Stephanus Stadium at 14h00. In Karasburg, also at 14h00, Young Brazilians will hope for three points against Ramblers.
On Sunday in the final round of matches, Try Again will welcome Ramblers to the J Stephanus Stadium at 10h00. Young Brazilians aiming for a league play-off spot will battle Rebels at 10h00 at the Karasburg Combined School Stadium.
In Windhoek’s Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek United will battle Khomas Second Division-bound SKW at 10h00.
