REHOBOTH, 31 JUL – A man suspected of stabbing Albertus Beukes to death and fleeing the scene in the early hours of Friday at Rehoboth’s Sonderwater informal settlement, was arrested on Saturday.
This is according to Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay, who told Nampa on Monday another suspect is also being questioned over the murder.
The incident was reported at the Rehoboth Police Station on Friday. It was alleged that the suspect ran away from the scene after stabbing the 39-year-old Beukes in the chest and back.
The name of the arrested suspect cannot be revealed as he is yet to appear in court.
Police investigations continue.
