WALVIS BAY, June 17 — Excitement is building in Walvis Bay as the world’s largest floating book fair, Logos Hope, prepares to open its doors to the public once again. Following its memorable visit in August 2016, where thousands flocked to explore its vast literary offerings, Logos Hope is set to make a highly anticipated return to Namibia.
From July 5th to 21st, 2024, Logos Hope will be anchored at Port Walvis Bay, inviting visitors aboard to explore an expanded selection of over 5,000 book titles. The book fair boasts an impressive array of subjects, including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages, and faith. With an extensive collection of children’s books, academic texts, dictionaries, and atlases, the fair promises something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The Visitor Experience Deck, a highlight of the ship, offers a welcoming atmosphere for exploration and learning. The Welcome Area provides an introduction to the vessel through a short film and interactive displays. Visitors can also indulge in delightful treats at the International Café, which serves ice cream, drinks, and snacks, making it a perfect spot to relax and take in the unique ambience.
