NEW YORK, Sept. 20 – President Hage Geingob will today address other Heads of State at the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in the United States of America (USA), New York.
The Assembly started on the 12th of September, however Geingob will give his address this afternoon at 16h45 (New York Time), (22h30 Namibian Time.)
On Sunday, Geingob held a closed-door meeting with Lazare Kaplan International (LKI) chairperson, Maurice Tempelsman, with talks covering the world economic crisis, and investment possibilities in Namibia. Geingob has been holding private consultations with the Secretary General of United Nations Antonio Guterres, and will also address the academic community of Rutgers University together with New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, a business organisation, on the 22nd.
Geingob will also attend a reception of Commonwealth Heads of States and Government being co-hosted by Right Hon, Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta and Baroness Scotland and the Secretary General of Common Wealth.
