BW Kudu donates 12000 litres of ethanol worth 1 Million for production of sanitizers to the MoHSS.
Windhoek, June 29 – BW Kudu donates 12000 litres of ethanol worth 1 Million for production of sanitizers to be use for the fight against COVID-19 were handed over to the Ministry of Health and Social Services at the information communication center today.
BW Kudu Limited is proud to work with MoHSS and the Government of Namibia in the fight against the Corona pandemic the company said in a statement . The pandemic has already caused much human suffering and significant social and economic damage. All good forces must come together to help stem further
destruction and pain caused by the pandemic.
MoHSS has identified that the provision of sanitizers is a priority. BW Kudu has therefore agreed to spend almost 1 million NAD to provide 96% ethanol, which is a main ingredient for the local production
in Namibia of the required sanitizers. Today we hand over some 12 000 litres of ethanol.BW Kudu is an Energy company who since 2017 has been the operator and
biggest shareholder (56%) of the Kudu gas field 130 km offshore in southern part of Namibia NAMCOR is one of the company that owns(44%) stake in the Kudu gas.
The Kudu gas field was discovered in 1974.
