LUANDA, Jan. 28 -- Angola may pull out in the near future, from the tripartite agreement on free movement of people and goods it signed 21 years ago with Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the country's director general of Migration and Foreign Service (SME) Joao da Costa Dias, said on Tuesday. Joao Dias said the intention of the country is to opt for bilateral agreements and withdraw from the tripartite convention initialed with two neighboring countries. Angolan authorities will review the agreement signed in 1999 with aim to rescind it, the SME officer said, adding that one of the main priorities of the migration service is to put into operation a national migration observatory as well as to appoint connection officers in diplomatic and consular missions. He also said that the SME expects to complete the extending process of the migration control systems in provincial offices to de-concentrate migration control activities. Xinhau
