Accused in armed robbery at Ndiyona remanded in custody

RUNDU, 04 DEC  – Two men arrested for armed robbery at a shop at Ndiyona in the Kavango East Region on Friday, made their first appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court Tuesday.
Johannes Shidjukwe, 28, and Marcelius Mushongo, 40, appeared before Assistant Magistrate Adelheid Simbwae, who remanded them in custody pending further investigations into the case and for them to apply for legal representation.
The accused were both charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Public Prosecutor, Helvi Gorases represented the State and the case was postponed to 26 March 2019.
Shidjukwe and Mushongo allegedly entered the shop around 20h00 on Friday, held the owner at gunpoint and robbed him of N$8 500 in cash as well as a laptop valued at N$6 000. – NAMPA
