REHOBOTH, 10 JUN – Young Brazilians from Karasburg maintained their lead at the top of the Southern Stream First Division Inland Stream after hammering Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) 5-1 on Saturday in Windhoek.
The Round 6 match played at SKW Stadium saw the visitors take the lead through a quick brace from Vincentius Jobs and one goal from Revered Matroos to go into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
At the start of the second half, Jobs scored his third goal for a hat trick before any comeback by SKW was thwarted by Jantjies Vries to make it 5-0.
SKW got a consolation goal through Elden Kanguundue late in the second half.
In other Inland Stream matches played on Saturday, Windhoek United kept their winning form with a 3-2 victory over Keetmanshoop’s Try Again FC, while Rebels and Ramblers drew 3-3.
In the Coastal Stream, Namibian Police Football Club thrashed Walvis Bay-based Western Spurs 4-0, while Spoilers were beaten 1-0 at home by rookies Northern Stars.
