Windhoek, Oct. 25 – HYPHEN Hydrogen, the company that won the hydrogen tender from the government is under fire from Job Amupanda who released the following statement.
HYPEN secured an implementation agreement for its planned $10 billion green hydrogen project which will produce 350 000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year before 2030.
“The Government Negotiating Team (GNT) is busy negotiating with the German company, HYPHEN that won the hydrogen tender. I have all documentation and know that you are ABOUT to sell our country. I, therefore, DIRECT you to do the following; (1) REVERSE and WITHDRAW that PROMISE for government to build houses and/or accommodation for German employees in Luderitz. (2) REVERSE and WITHDRAW the PROMISE you made to the Germans that you will not issue EPLs and mining rights to anyone for 42 years in the coastal area.
(3) REVERSE and WITHDRAW your PROMISE that Parliament with pass a law WRITTEN by the Germans called the Synthetic Fuels Act. (4) REVERSE and WITHDRAW your promise to implement the Instructions of the Germans to change the Diamond Act. We VOTED MPs and not Germans to Make Laws! (5) I also want you to specifically indicate that the 24% GRN shares will be held by the Welwitschia Fund.
You are to do two things; FIRST, you (or Hyphen) can contact me at shipululo@gmail.com so we can discuss these matters. SECONDLY, in the alternative, you can hold a PUBLIC PRESS BRIEFING to clarify these matters to the public. You have until Thursday, 27 October 2022 after which I would conclude that you have taken an antagonist posture and resolved to continue SELLING OUR COUNTRY! Over to you!
The Director General of the National Planning Commission, Obeth Kandjoze, has confirmed to a news source that the allegations made by AR activist Amupanda about the terms being negotiated by the government and a German company are fact.
