Luderitz, May 11-Ohlthaver & List Group, through its subsidiary, Hangana Seafood, in particular, Hangana Abalone, sponsored The Ministry of Health and Social Service (MoHSS) department in Luderitz equipment valued at N$100 000.
The donation is a kind gesture from the O&L Group to render their support during the fight of COVID-19.
The donation will empower first responders in the health sector and it will allow them to perform their work successfully and effectively during the trying times of COVID-19.
Anne Nantinda, Hangana Abalone’s General Manager said, the N$ 100 000 was initially a pledge by the O&L Group, in support of the annual CrayFish Festival which was cancelled this year due to impact of COVID-19.
The equipment donated includes, 511 overalls for first responders, 10 laser thermometers and 100 digital thermometers.
District Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Ali Mbuyi, accepted the donation on behalf of MoHSS, saying they are immensely grateful for the kind gesture.
