Namibia to host 6th ICT Summit

WINDHOEK, JUNE 26 – Information and Communication Technology Minister Stanley Simataa earlier today announced that the country will hold its’ 6th National ICT Summit here in Windhoek under the theme “Accelerating Digital Transformation in Namibia,” from 07-09 October 2019.

The summit has become a mainstay on Namibia’s ICT calendar, according to the minister, who said that it presented unique opportunities for interactions between stakeholders.
“(The summit will) provide networking opportunities, raise awareness on key ICT matters, projects and initiatives; and to discuss trends and challenges in ICT industry and advance possible solutions,” said the minister.

Simataa was speaking at a sponsorship breakfast meeting for the National ICT Summit, where he acknowledged sponsors such as Standard Bank Namibia, MTC and global technology giant Huawei, all of whom were Platinum sponsors at last year’s 5th National ICT Summit. – info@namibiadailynews.info
