EEFA to host another farmer’s day

WINDHOEK, 15 AUG –The Eastern Epukiro Farmers Association (EEFA) will hold a farmer’s day on Thursday at Epukiro Post No.3 in the Epukiro Constituency of the Omaheke region.
The day is aimed at educating farmers on farming techniques, livestock health and feeding programs for different seasons, hence improve their productions.
Speaking to NAMPA on Tuesday EEFA Chairperson Katjinduu Tjahuha explained that the association has invited expertise from the Ministry of Agriculture Water and Forestry, Agribank and Feedmaster to educate the farmers.
“I am urging farmers, farmer workers, women and youths to come in numbers to this event as it is aimed to benefit them,” he said.
He also called on farmers to register with the association as it is assisting the government while ploughing back into the community.
This is a third time the association is holding a farmers day this year after similar ones were held in Ezorongondo and Otjimanangombe.
Established in 1989, the EEFA is aimed at educating and assisting farmers in Epukiro constituency with farming techniques.
