Windhoek, Oct. 27 — The Good Business Awards will resume on November 3, 2022, according to Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication, Jerome Mutumba. Finalists and winners will be revealed on the Bank’s Facebook, LinkedIn, and website on November 4, 2022, in the afternoon. The press will also be given access to the results.
Due to COVID-19, the Awards, which were last held in 2019, were postponed for two years.
The tourist and hotel industry, private education, land servicing, manufacturing, and the transport and logistics industry, according to Mutumba, will provide this year’s winners.
When discussing the Awards, Mutumba remarked that they serve two distinct purposes. They begin by emphasizing businesses that have superior development impacts together with top-notch administrative practices that support the success and longevity of the business. Second, they highlight the financial contribution the Bank contributes to Namibia’s development and economic growth.
He stated that in keeping with the significance of the occasion, Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, will deliver the keynote address and present prizes in the Large Enterprise and SME categories.
A group of impartial judges and subject-matter authorities selected the finalists and winners from among
The Bank has previously given out an annual Innovation Award. Even if the Award won’t be presented in 2022, Mutumba expressed his confidence that it will return in 2023.
Mutumba stated that the level is very high when referring to the calibre of the finalists and winners. Even though each category can only have one winner, he added, “all of the finalists are outstanding and represent a win for the Namibian economy and the Bank.”
