Oshakati, Oct. 21 – Education is one of the critical needs in the world to prepare one to be successful and fulfil their life.
This was said by the mayor of Helao Nafidi town Darius Shaalukeni at the official launching of UNESCO Global Network of Learning City on Wednesday.
The network provides relevant education that cultivates passions, problem-solving abilities and high-level thinking skills including critical thinking and creativity in the journey of life-long learning opportunities.
The global network aims to support and accelerate the practice of life-long learning through its activities and it will also promote policy dialogue, peer learning as well as collaboration among members of the cities.
“I believe that we will make UNESCO’s global network of learning cities successful through hard work and strategic partnership,” said Shaalukeni.
