WINDHOEK, 05 NOV – An 18-year-old man died instantly after being stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife by a 43-year-old woman in Windhoek on Friday.
According to a Namibian Police Force crime report issued on Monday, the incident occurred around 16h45 in the Goreangab Dam residential area.
The deceased has been identified as Revaldo Rooi.
It is alleged that an argument broke out between Rooi and the suspect, which led to the fatal stabbing.
The suspect was arrested and the next of kin of the deceased have been notified.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
Another murder was recorded at Iikango village in the Oniipa area on Saturday, where a 24-year-old man was stabbed.
The man, who has been identified as Herman Gideon, died on the spot.
The incident occurred around 23h00.
According to the police report Gideon’s stepfather was allegedly assaulting his mother and he attempted to intervene, which angered the suspect, resulting in the stabbing.
The suspect was arrested and the next of kin of the deceased have been informed.
In Keetmanshoop meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman died after being stabbed with an unknown object on Saturday.
Engeline Rooi was allegedly stabbed by a 22-year-old man around 23h30 at a shebeen in the Tseiblaagte residential area.
Rooi was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries on the way.
No arrest has been made as the suspect fled the scene.
Police investigations in all cases continue.
