OTJIWARONGO, 21 AUG – A 42-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a hunting rifle at a farm in the Otjituuo District Monday night.
The Namibian Police Force’s spokesperson for the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Tuesday the incident occurred around 19h45 at Farm Eden.
Eden is situated approximately 45 kilometres east of Otjituuo.
The deceased has been identified as Pederetu Kamati Tuhadeleni, who was the farm manager.
“He left behind a suicide note, where he briefly explained the motive for his actions,” said Mbeha.
An inquest has been opened at the Otjituuo police station in connection with his death.
