WINDHOEK, APRIL 18 – Not so long ago FNB Namibia Home Loans awarded their top performing real estate agents and agencies at the annual Realtors Club Gala dinner.
FNB CEO, Erwin Tjipuka expressed his gratitude to the estate agents as well as the FNB Home Loans team for their ongoing hard work, support and perseverance over the past years, which have proven challenging in the property market.
Said Tjipuka, “New developments in the low-cost market will likely take centre stage dragging average house prices down. However, the building of affordable properties is unlocking opportunities for previously excluded customers. Advancements in technology will also mean that the supply of alternative building methods will likely also reverberate across the country given the need that exists for basic shelter. With the increasing focus on land delivery and the potential introduction of alternative and cheaper building methods, we believe households will begin to move towards building versus buying new properties. This should bode favourably to contractors in that space.”
In addition Magda Talbot, Head of FNB Home Loans also showed appreciation towards the estate agents and her home loan team. Talbot went to advise that FNB was on a journey of accelerated change which would be advantageous to all players in the property market.
“FNB home loans values you, our estate agents, developers and conveyancers and strives to deliver new platforms to improve our relationships. FNB Home Loans received business to the value of N$ 180 million from the top five Estate agencies and the top ten agents totaled an amount of N$ 160 million. The total amount of N$ 570 million was received via the estate agent channel nationally and we are here to thank you for your ongoing support and celebrate the achievers.”
