RUNDU – August 14 – The supporters of Prince Bathlomeus Aruvita Kayoka, from the VaGciriku Royal family, have extended invitations to all media outlets for a press release scheduled for 13:00 tomorrow at the Mantengo residence near Andreas Kandjimi School in the Millennium Park location of Rundu, in the Kavango East region.
The succinct statement reads, “Kindly receive the friendly invitation to the press release by Mr. Bathlomeus Aruvita Kayoka and the VaGciriku Royal family.”
Amidst speculation, tension has risen due to recent pronouncements by the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni, regarding the selection of Felix Muraghuli Mashika as the successor to the late Chief of Gciriku Traditional Authority, Hompa Kassian Shiyambi. It is reported that this decision has been met with opposition from certain members of the Royal family.
While Felix Mashika Muraghuli had reportedly been identified as the rightful successor by a ministerial investigation committee, the Gciriku Royal family and the Governor of Kavango East region have concluded their process, indicating that Barthlomeus Aruvita Kayoka is the legitimate candidate. – Namibia Daily News
