WINDHOEK, 16 AUG – Brave Warriors remain ranked 29th in Africa and moved one place down on the world ranking from 117 to 118, according to the latest International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) rankings released on Thursday.
Previously, Namibia lost nine positions in Africa in July from number 20 in Africa to 29 following their poor showing at the Council of Southern African Football Associations (Cosafa) Cup in Polokwane, South Africa in June.
Namibia has played eight games this year winning three, drawing three and losing two.
Their last match was a 4-1 drubbing by host Bafana Bafana in the Cosafa Plate Semi-final.
The Brave Warriors will resume their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with a clash against Zambia at home on 08 September at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
