Windhoek, July 26 – Youths from 44 African countries are meeting at the Safari Hotel and Conference Centre in the Namibian capital of Windhoek for the 4th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge which started today (26 July) and ends on 29 July.
The delegates were welcomed by the deputy executive director of the Ministry of Environment, forestry and Tourism Seimy Shidute who said the youth must use the summit as a stepping stone to develop their tourism businesses through innovation.
The youths who run various tourism businesses spent the day networking and establishing contacts as well as learning from established business people on how to succeed in the tourism sector.
The summit which is supported by local as well as international organisations will be officially opened by the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta. – Namibia Daily News
