WINDHOEK, 25 JUL – A police officer shot himself shortly after shooting his girlfriend in the head at Louis Botha Supermarket in the Windhoek West area of the capital on Wednesday.
He died on the spot.
The woman, who was employed at the shop, died on the way to hospital.
According to members of the Namibian Police Force at the scene, the officer was a member of their Special Reserve Force.
An employee of the shop told Nampa the man walked into the shop between 07h00 and 08h00. A scuffle erupted between him and the woman and gunshots followed.
