Race for second intensifies in Kunene Football League

REHOBOTH, 25 JUL  – With Outjo Football Academy winning the Kunene Second Division over the weekend, the race for second spot in the league has intensified with the final rounds of matches scheduled for Opuwo, Outjo and Khorixas.
Either PUBS from Outjo with two matches remaining, Young Eagles from Okaukuejo or Ombika-based Etosha United, both with one match a piece, will end second depending on the results going their way.
On Saturday in Round 21, sixth-placed Gariseb Orlando Pirates will face a tough match against newly-crowned champions, Outjo Football Academy at 14h00 at the Herbert Conradie Stadium, followed by bottom of the log Robber Chanties entertaining ninth-placed Green Dangers from Kamanjab at 16h00.
In Outjo at the Etoshapoort Stadium, fourth-placed PUBS will lock horns with seventh-placed Black Africa Warriors at 14h00, while Bethlehem Boys in eighth spot and tenth-spot Sixty Eleven will go head-to-head at 16h00.
In Opuwo at the Newman Katuta Stadium at 14h00, fifth-placed Kunene Namibian Police (NamPol) will face third-placed Young Eagles, who are fighting to end second with a win.
On Sunday in Round 22, Kunene NamPol will face second-placed Etosha United who will hope for a Young Eagles loss coupled with a win for them to see them end as runners-up. The match is scheduled for 12h00 at Newman Katuta Stadium.
PUBS’ match with Sixty Eleven will also start at 12h00 at the Etoshapoort Stadium, followed by Black Africa Warriors facing Bethlehem Boys at 14h00.
In Khorixas at 12h00, Gariseb Orlando Pirates will entertain Green Dangers, while neighbours, Robber Chanties will host Outjo Football Academy at 14h00. – NAMPA
