REHOBOTH, 05 JUL – Four men accused of attempted murder for allegedly beating and stabbing a man here in April this year, made their sixth appearance before the Rehoboth Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, where their case was postponed to 03 September 2018.
Wilfred Africa, Daniel Mouton, Nelson Dausab and Debra Kondo appeared before Magistrate Andre Matulich.
It is alleged that they assaulted a man with planks and stabbed him with a knife in Rehoboth’s Block G residential area on 16 April.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Windhoek Central Hospital for treatment.
The four accused were represented by Winnie Christiaans on private instructions, while Public Prosecutor, Victor Mutumbulwa, appeared for the State.
The accused made their first appearance in the Rehoboth Magistrate’s Court on 18 April this year, when they were denied bail, after which the case was postponed to 08 May. However, their legal representative was unavailable on the day. On 23 May, the quartet made another appearance before the magistrate’s court, when they were granted bail of N.dollars 2 000 each, which was on Thursday extended until their next court appearance.
