MARIENTAL, July 25 — The Nedbank for Good Series recently concluded its fifth round with a highly successful golf day held in the charming southern town of Mariental. The event, which took place on Saturday, 22 July 2023, at the Mariental Golf Club, saw an impressive turnout of 38 enthusiastic golf players, all eager to showcase their skills and support the series’ philanthropic endeavours.
In the men’s division, defending champion Kiewiet Dreyer delivered an outstanding performance, becoming the first player to successfully defend his title after carding an impressive 43 points. Following closely behind was Frans Isaacks, securing second place with 37 points, and in third place, Anton Smit with a commendable 34 points.
Notably, the Nedbank for Good Series introduced a ladies’ division this year, reflecting their commitment to promoting the sport among women. Celonika Robinson emerged as the winner in this division, adding another highlight to her remarkable participation in all five rounds this year.
Dan Zwiebel, the organizer of the Nedbank for Good Series, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the participants and sponsors, remarking, “We are thrilled to witness such an incredible turnout for the Nedbank for Good Series. The unwavering support from the golfing community demonstrates the collective commitment towards creating a positive impact in our society.”

Golf enthusiasts can look forward to the upcoming rounds of the Nedbank for Good Series, scheduled to be held at various esteemed golf clubs. The series continues on 5 August at Oshakati Golf Club, followed by events at Walvis Bay Golf Club on 19 August, Rossmund Golf Course on 26 August, Henties Bay Golf & Lifestyle Estate on 2 September, Windhoek Golf & Country Club on 23 September, culminating with the grand finale at Omeya Golf Club on 6 October, where the champions of the series will be crowned.
