Oshakati, 27 July – Police in the Omusati region arrested a 33-year-old Angolan after he stabbed Iita Lisias Natangwe (58) with a spear on Monday 25 July 2022 at around 22:00.
Police Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho confirmed the stabbing that took place at Iita Lisias Natangwe’s homestead at Ontanda B village, Tsandi constituency, Omusati region.
Simaho said the suspect stabbed Natangwe with a spear on the chest as well as on the left side. The suspect, who is employed as a domestic worker at a homestead at Ontanda B allegedly also assaulted the victim with a stick on the head and right arm.
The victim sustained open wounds and cuts and bruises from the spear and the assault and is admitted to Medipark Private Hospital, Ongwediva where his condition is said to be stable.
The motive of the attack could not be established but Simaho said the suspect is expected to appear in court soon although police investigations are continuing.
