Cape Town, July 12 – Namibia’s energy sector has seen rapid development in recent years, with three major oil and gas discoveries, the launch of a billion-dollar green hydrogen project, and renewed focus by global players. The upcoming African Energy Week (AEW) conference, taking place from October 16-20 in Cape Town, will provide a platform for discussion on the future of Namibia’s energy sector, with Hon. Tom Alweendo, Minister of Mines and Energy, delivering a keynote address.
Hon. Alweendo has been a key figure in the development of Namibia’s energy sector, and his participation at AEW will be an opportunity to discuss the country’s plans for the future. He will provide an update on the three oil and gas discoveries, the progress of the green hydrogen project, and the numerous investment opportunities that are available.
