ACCRA, March 26-- The Black Stars of Ghana held Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a 1-1 draw at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg Thursday to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be hosted in Cameroon. The Black Stars who played the match without key players including captain Andre Ayew of Swansea, Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew, and Arsenals midfielder Thomas Partey took the lead in the 49th minute through Mohammed Kudus who plays for Ajax in Holland. The goal was, however, canceled out by the home-side in the 52nd minute through Bafana Bafana striker Percy Tau. With the draw, the Black Stars sit at the top of Group C level on points (10) with South Africa but on superior goal difference sealed one of the two slots for Cameroon 2021. South Africa will have to avoid defeat away to Sudan on Sunday. The Black Stars are scheduled to play Sao Tome and Principe in the final AFCON qualifier at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday. Xinhua
