WINDHOEK, Sept. 6 – President Hage Geingob will travel to the United States of America (USA) to address the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly UNGA in New York from the from 10th to 22nd of September
The Assembly starts from the 12th September but Geingob is expected to give his address on the 20th while holding private consultations with the Secretary General of United Nations Antonio Guterres on the sidelines.
Geingob will address the academic community of Rutgers University together with New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, a business organisation, on the 22nd.
Geingob will also attend a reception of Commonwealth Heads of States and Government being co-hosted by Right Hon, Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta and Baroness Scotland and the Secretary General of Common Wealth.
Amongst the delegation that will accompany Geingob are the First Lady Monica Geingos as well as the Deputy Prime Minster and the Minister of International Relations, Netumbo Nandi –Ndaitwah; Minster of Environment and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta; Minster of Mines and Energy, Obeth Kandjoze; Minster of Economic Planning, Tom Alweendo; Minister of Regional and Local Government and Housing, Sophia Shaningwa. – NDN Staffer
