WINDHOEK, FEB 24 – Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) Hobas lodge which experienced flash floods over two weeks ago and left the resort full of broken trees and vast piles of sand has significantly been cleaned up resulting in the restaurant, and camping grounds being able to accommodate guests.
Mr Mufaro Njabulo Nesongano, NWR corporate communications and online media manager, said “the team at the lodge along with other staff members tremendously pulled together to restore the key areas that are essential to our guests. By the look of things, we anticipate completing the remaining work just before the beginning of the high season.”
Hobas Lodge is located in the /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, near Fish River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world and the main attraction in Southern Namibia. Hobas Lodge sits at the start of the 90 km long Fish River Canyon Hiking Trail, ranked one of the best hiking trails in Southern Africa.
The lodge offers six en-suite rooms and 14 campsites nestled among shady trees at the top end of Fish River Canyon. Hobas is closely located to the Fish River viewpoint. – NDN Staffer
