ASSVOLONESS, Sept. 14 — On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, a 30-year-old Namibian man found himself in police custody in connection with an incident of malicious damage to property and theft at Assvoloness village in the Otjozondjupa region.
Inspector Maureen Mbeha, representing the Namibian Police, reported that the individual is accused of driving a front-end loader into a shop, causing extensive damage to the building. Subsequently, he is alleged to have absconded with both cash and a quantity of beer without the shop owner’s authorization.
The apprehended suspect is slated to make a court appearance at the Tsumkwe Magistrates Court today, September 14, 2023. Ongoing investigations by the police aim to shed further light on the incident.
