Windhoek, Aug. 8 – A devastating incident unfolded as a 23-year-old Namibian male lost his life after being struck by a car in the early hours of Sunday. The tragic event occurred around 12:30 AM on Matshitshi Road in the Otjomuise area of the Khomas region.
According to the official police report, a concerned member of the public alerted law enforcement to the presence of an individual lying in the middle of the road. Initial suspicion pointed to potential involvement in a car accident.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown, but he was found wearing black skinny jeans, a black jacket, and sandals. The individual had a Namibian Identification document in his possession.
Upon conducting investigations, it was determined that the victim had been struck by a car and subsequently dragged several meters from the point of impact, resulting in severe head injuries.
As of now, the next of kin of the deceased has not been identified, and no suspects have been apprehended. Law enforcement is diligently working to locate the family of the victim and to ensure that justice is served for this unfortunate incident.
