NUST FC thump Namib Eagles 11-0

REHOBOTH, 15 APR – Namibia University of Technology (NUST) Football Club (FC) on Saturday thrashed Namib Eagles 11-0 in Round 12 of the Khomas Second Division Football League played at Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
NUST are now tied with Kingston United and City Boys on 27 points each, only separated by goal difference, going into the final round of the first leg on Sunday.
NUST scored their goals through hat tricks by Terence Tshuma and captain Wilhelm Petrus, with Murangi Vakuna adding a brace and David Hango, Simon Petrus and Petrus Shivute scoring one goal each.
NUST coach Ervin Haipumbu on Saturday said their aim is still to win the league.
“We want to end the first leg in a good position to set us up for a strong finish come end of season. The second leg won’t be easy as all the teams want to be promoted. Our focus now is to win our final game of the first leg against Young Ones,” Haipumbu said.
The first leg of the Khomas Second Division will conclude on Sunday.
