Okombahe, 27 July – Police in Erongo discovered the body of a seven-year-old boy who was reported missing on Tuesday morning, buried in a shallow grave in the riverbed, meters from Dibasen high school Okombahe.
According to police spokesperson inspector Ileni Shapumba, Ernesto Kaimeb Tsamaseb went missing from his grandmother’s house at Okombahe Settlement on Monday afternoon.
He was last seen alive allegedly following a 17-year-old mentally challenged family member to the field and he was never seen again.
At about 09:00 am on Tuesday morning, the boy’s family reported him missing and a search by Police and community members was launched.
The search team discovered the missing child’s body buried in the shallow grave at 15:00 on Tuesday.
Two men, both related to the minor were detained in connection with the incident.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
