WINDHOEK, FEB 28 – The Cancer Association of Namibia (WO30) will host its annual spray-a-thon fundraising drive in support of children fighting cancer and to create much-needed awareness on the topic of childhood cancers.
The Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) has invited all corporate entities and schools to participate in the 2019 national Spray-a-Thon in support of children fighting cancer.
The campaign will run from 1 to 15 March this year, this was revealed on Thursday.
The CAN teams will be at various shopping centres in Windhoek, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay this Saturday (2 March 2019) as well as next Saturday (9 March 2019)
Chief Executive Officer of CAN Rolf Hansen, said all proceeds are used to keep the doors of the CHICA Interim Home for kids fighting cancer open; while the CHICA Financial Support Fund is also supported.
“All interested companies and schools were invited to join the fun project between 21 January and 15 February to make the necessary arrangements,” said Hansen.
This was made necessary for CAN to increase its annual order to avoid disappointment for this year. – XINHUA
