OSHAKATI, July 13 – A 22-year-old Unam student (Windhoek) identified as Shigwedha Hafeni Tuli from Omuthitugonyama village was found hanging in a mahangu field at Omuthitugonyama village, Okalongo constituency, Omusati region at about 19h00 on Tuesday.
This was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho who said Tuli was last seen alive on Tuesday at around 17h00 when he left the house to go in the field.
Simaho said since the family became worried about his behaviour, they started looking for him, and found his body hanging from a tree in the mahangu field.
No suicide note was left and next of kin has been informed of his death.
The body has been transported to the Okahao Police mortuary for a postmortem. Police investigations are continuing.
